What happens in the case of bad weather?

We send an email announcement and posts details via social media in the case of event delays or postponements.

Is there a dress code for attending events?

Come as you are! Many of our attendees are coming straight from work and wear they work attire. We encourage all event attendees to wear what you desire - we want you to be comfortable.

Are events held in different locations throughout New Jersey?

Yes. Our goal is to host events at various locations throughout North, Central, and South Jersey. 

How do I suggest a venue for future events?

We are always looking for new venues to host our events. Please use our idea submissions form to share the potential venue with us.

How can I promote my project at an event?

We love promoting members’ projects. Each event features a "show & tell" portion. Submit what you would like to demonstrate with this form.

I’m a first time attendee - what should I expect?

Be punctual, charge your device before attending (because you will be using it), prepare your 30 second commercial, have plenty of business cards readily available, bring your smile, and prepare to connect with other creative minds. 

Will there be refreshments?

Refreshments will be served at all NJCC events. We make every effort to offer a diverse menu with vegetarian options.

What is a QR code and how do I use it?

QR Codes are square shaped barcodes used to transmit all sorts of data. At our events, we primary use QR codes to access web destinations. Simply use your smartphone to snap the QR Code (iPhone users can use their camera app) and you will be directed to the web destination we encoded into the QR Code. We use QR codes because it’s faster and less error prone than fumbling with a keypad to type "h-t-t-p dot" - you get the point.

Do you host events at wheelchair accessible facilities?

We strive to hold our events at facilities that provide wheelchair access and parking. We designate such facilities by including a wheelchair icon adjacent to the venue address. 

How do I register for an event?

Click on the "I'm Attending" button on the page of the event you're interested in attending. You will receive a confirmation email after RSVPing and/or purchasing your ticket.

How much does it cost to attend events?

Check the event page you're interested in attending for advance ticket pricing and details.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

Yes, NJCC staff will be present to assist with onsite registration. However, due to limited seating we recommend that you register in advance.

How can I become a presenter for future events?

Complete our presenter nomination form. You can nominate yourself or someone else. We look forward to learning more about your content expertise. 

Do presenters need to have prior public speaking experience?

No, but you should have a solid knowledge base in the area of study you wish to present.

Can I donate items to be used as giveaways and/or prizes?

Yes - we welcome event prizes and giveaways. Please use our contact form so that we may discuss the opportunity in detail.

How can I become a sponsor?

Sponsors make our events and programs possible and it’s a great way to get your company noticed. Please contact us to discuss opportunities.

Can I bring food and beverages an event?

Refreshments will be provided at each event, so we recommend that members not bring food or beverages from the outside into the event venue. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please contact us. we will make reasonable efforts to provide dining options for all attendees, but we cannot guarantee that all dietary restrictions can be accommodated for each event.

Do you partner/collaborate with organizations to host events?

Yes, we love working with organizations and businesses throughout New Jersey. The goal is to deliver quality events that provide opportunities for learning, sharing, collaboration, and networking. Drop us a line to discuss how we can collaborate on an awesome event.

I have an idea for a presentation topic, how do I submit it?

Use our topic suggestion form to submit topics that you would like to see discussed at future events.

How can I give feedback/suggestions?

We love feedback and strive to find new ways to improve NJCC. Please use our feedback submission form to share your suggestion(s).

Is WIFI available at every event?

Complimentary WIFI will be available on a per-venue basis, and when provided there will not be technical support for wireless access.

Is there an event hashtag?

Absolutely! Every event has a unique hashtag for sharing quotables, comments, pics, and clips. We feature the hashtag on the event detail page, at the event, and via social media. Here's the hashtag from our first meetup - #NJCC11.

Do I need to bring ID?

Please bring your ID to verify your registration at check-in. 

Are events live-streamed?

At this time, we do not not offer live event streaming - but we're working on having it soon.

Can I bring my camera to capture the event?

Sure you can. In fact, we ask all attendees to share their pics and clips that we may include them in our event recap, highlight video, and social posts. 

Will my photo be taken during the event?

We often capture photographs, video, and audio during our meetings and events for event highlight posts and future promotional materials. By participating in our events, you grant NJCC the right to use your name and likeness for such purposes.

Is there an age restriction?

Participants must be 18 years or older to attend.

Do you accept donations?

Yes, we most certainly do. Please use our donations page to make a financial contribution.

Is NJ Content Creators a 501(c)3 non-profit organization?

No, we are not. Unfortunately, contributions made to NJ Content Creators are not tax-deductible.
